Old violin, labeled Joseph Dall’ Aglio fecit Mantuae anno 1820.
A very fine and rare antique italian violin. The label says: Joseph Dall’ Aglio fecit Mantuae anno 1820.
The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. The whole length of the violin is 590 mm and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 163 mm; middle bouts: 109 mm; lower bouts: 200 mm.

The instrument is in best ready to play condition with some small not visible repaired cracks, grafted scroll, new fingerboard, new rosewood set up, new Aubert bridge and new strings.
