A very fine antique master 4/4 violin, labeled Anno 1737 Carlo Bergonzi fece in Cremona. The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. Very rich golden amber varnish remains in good condition. The whole length of the violin is 593 mm and the back 362 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 164 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 205 mm.
