A very fine and rare antique 4/4 violin, labeled Januarius Gagliano filius Alexandri fecit Neap. 1741. The violin has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back with amazing carvings. The whole length of the violin is 592 mm and the back 357 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 168 mm; middle bouts: 112 mm; lower bouts: 206 mm.
