Good quality straight high grained spruce was chosen for the top, and the maple of the two pieces back with beautiful grain is softly flamed. Narrow flamed sides, neck and scroll. The double purfling is a tasteful work of good craftsmanship, just as the shining, golden amber reddish varnish. Old rosewood set up, new bridge and d’ addario strings, the violin is ready to play. The whole length of the violin is 585 mm and the back 358 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 168 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 208 mm.
