What We Do

Each instrument tells a unique story, reflecting the craftsmanship and artistic expression of its era and school. At DaGamba, we seek to share the story of each of our instruments through thoughtful appraisals, restorations, and auctions.

Utilizing over 20 years of experience, Alexander Viltman of DaGamba GmbH provides accurate and detailed appraisals of stringed musical instruments from a variety of sources, including private collectors, musicians, and other auction houses. Customers will receive full documentation and provenance to ensure the integrity and value of their piece.

Our auctions feature a diverse range of styles and periods, allowing bidders to discover instruments that resonate with their musical preferences and historical interests. Our online platform provides detailed descriptions, high-quality photographs, condition reports, sound samples, and historical context that allows bidders to appreciate the fine details and craftsmanship of each item from the comfort of their homes. DaGamba collaborates with musicians to understand their specific preferences and requirements when considering auction items.

DaGamba conducts restorations for vintage and modern stringed instruments with over 20 years of experience. These services are provided free of charge if the restoration will greatly improve auction value.
