We are always looking for quality instruments and bows to feature in our upcoming auctions. To help our experts provide an accurate assessment, please provide a comprehensive overview of your item.
What to include in your submission:
- Maker information: Provide the maker’s name or the school of making the item is attributed to.
- Labels & markings: Transcribe the exact text found on internal labels or brand stamps on the wood.
- Condition report: Briefly describe the item’s state, including any known history of restoration or past repairs.
- Measurements: If possible, include the item’s weight and measurements (back length, whole length, the width of the upper, middle and lower bouts).
- Provenances: Attach digital copies of any existing certificates, appraisals, or historical documentation.
Visual Documentation:
Please provide high-quality photos using standard reference angles (top, back, sides and scroll for instruments; frog and tip for bows). Archive your finished photos in .zip or .rar format. Then submit this archive via the DaGamba valuation form.
- Initial review: If your item meets our auction criteria, we will ask you to ship it to us so we can examine it in person.
- Pricing strategy: We will work with you to establish a fair auction estimate and a confidential reserve price.
- Agreement & sale: Once the consignment contract is signed, your property will be professionally photographed for our digital catalog, featured in our viewing galleries, and presented to international buyers during the auction.
