Shipping to You (Buyers)
Once you have successfully won an auction, you can either collect your items in person during our collection days in Hannover or opt for professional delivery.
If you choose to have DaGamba manage the logistics, we take full responsibility for the expert packing of your instruments. We prioritize maximum safety: each instrument is carefully wrapped to protect the varnish, and we lower the bridges and loosen string tension to prevent damages during transit.
Every shipment is handled as a bespoke order. We calculate the final shipping costs only after the items are safely packed, adding the quote directly to your auction invoice. Our goal is to have all custom shipments ready for dispatch within two business days following the auction’s conclusion.
Bows:
To prevent breakage, bows are encased in bubble wrap and reinforced with a solid wooden beam. We utilize DHL for fast and reliable delivery, always selecting the most cost-effective rate available for you.
Shipping to us (Sellers)
For those consigning instruments to DaGamba, we offer comprehensive support to ensure your property reaches our office safely.
Professional Packaging: We can provide strong boxes and step-by-step instructions to guarantee secure transit.
Flexible Logistics: You may use your preferred courier (in which case only packing materials are billed) or request that we organize the entire transport. We will always provide a transparent quote for the best shipping standard before the process begins.
Upon arrival, all instruments, bows, cases, and certificates are formally inspected, labeled, and logged into our system. All items are safely stored and insured in our office.
International Shipping & Customs
For deliveries outside the European Union, please note that import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees are not included in the auction price or shipping quote. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
We recommend contacting your local customs office to determine any applicable fees before bidding. DaGamba provides all necessary commercial documentation to ensure a smooth clearing process, but we cannot influence delays caused by international customs authorities.
